The landscape of companies is shifting:

► By 2023, private companies outnumbered public ones. ► Private companies are growing faster than public ones. ► Private equity offers flexibility, reducing regulatory burdens. ► This trend reflects a preference for control and less shareholder pressure, especially for mid-sized businesses.

IPO activity is down and private investment is up. Eventually private companies grow big enough that there are few ways for current investors to exit except IPO.
